Had a very strange dream last night, so I felt inclined to post about it.
I dreamt I was Hitler.
Before me, German soldiers marching in huge legions, singing hymns I couldn't understand, carrying squarish banners resembling those of ancient Roman's time. Before me, the grand stage with swastikas on either side, and a podium at which not just a country, but the entire world's attention is gathered. Before me, thousands of people driven into gas chambers and mass graves at my will, the rest forced on death marches by my comrades; the simple domination of one human being over another. Before me, absolute power, absolute control, absolute Liberation.
Adolf Hitler, unzer Fuhrer~Yet not once did these images drift from a dreamy, hazy state, and I knew I was more of an observer than an actor in this production.
Adolf Hitler, unzer Held~I wonder if Hitler knew what he was doing, if he knew that were he to succeed, the complete revolution of the world would be necessary, and done.
Adolf Hitler war der größte~Germany in herself was changed to no small degree during his lifetime, and I daresay it seemed as though after the genocides in Auschwitz, there seemed to come a certain twisted peace within the ranks of German soldiers. But is it not peace nonetheless?
Revolutionär der Welt~There is unity only in the presence of threat. And after the threat has passed, unity will find peace.
To find peace, one must first find war.
Out of the cinders of revolution, more passionate than the hottest flame, there emerges Utopia.
Adolf Hitler, unser Führer~ Adolf Hitler, unser Held~ Adolf Hitler war der größte~ Revolutionär der Welt.
